Samedi 06 Février
Après déjeuner, départ en voiture d'Arusha pour la Machame Gate. Rencontre des porteurs et guides. Première marche dans la montagne entourés de forêt tropical, jusqu'à l'arrivée à Machame Hut(3000m)
4 heures de marche, 1800m à 3000m.
After breakfast, embark on a short drive from Arusha to Machame Gate. Meet your porters and guides. First step in the mountain's surrounding rainforest. Upon arrival at the Machame Hut (3000m).
4 hours of hiking, 1800m to 3000m.
Dimanche 07 Février
Atteindre le plateau de Shira (3850m), en passant pas des paysages variés : Senecio, roches volcaniques et chutes d'eau.
5 heures de marche, 3000m à 3850m.
Reach Shira Plateau (3850 m), crossing varied landscapes: senecio plants, volcanic rocks and waterfall.
5 hours of hiking, 3000m to 3850m.
Lundi 08 Février
Toujours vers l'Est en passant la jonction vers le pic Kibo pour atteindre la Barranco Hut (3950m).
7 heures de marche, 3850m à 3950m avec un pic à 4600m.
Continue to the east, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo and reach the Barranco Hut (3950m).
7 hours of hiking, 3850m to 3950m with a peak at 4600m.
Mardi 09 Février
Longeant le glacier, nous suivons la base du cone en diretion de l'est et atteignons Karanga Camp (3963m) dans une zone désertique.
3 heures de marche, 3950m à 3963m
Bordering the glacier, we follow the base of the cone in the east direction and reach Karanga Camp (3963m) in a desert area.
3 hours of hiking, 3950m to 3963m.
Mercredi 10 Février
Nous suivons toujours la base du cone dans la direction de l'est jusqu'à Barafu Camp (4600m).
5 heures de marche, 3963m à 4600m.
Still following the base of the cone in the east direction, continue to Barafu Camp (4600m).
5 hours of hiking, 3963m to 4600m.
Jeudi 11 Février
Pic Uhuru (5895m). Départ très tôt le matin pour ariver au lever du soleil sur le cratère. Après la dernière ascension de 1300m, nous atteindrons le plus haut point du Kilimandjaro et du continent Africain.
Puis nous redescendons directement à la Barafu Hut puis la Mweka Hut (3100m).
5 heures de marche, 4600m à 5895m, puis 3100m.
Uhuru Peak (5895m). Departure very early in the morning in order to see the sunup on the crater. After the last 1300m of the ascension, reach the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the continent of Africa.
Make the descent continuing straight down to Barafu Hut and then to Mweka Hut (3100m).
5 hours of hiking, 4600m to 5895m, then to 3100m.
Vendredi 12 Février
Fin de la descente jusqu'à Mweka, lunch et remise des certificats.
3 heures de marche, et transfert vers Arusha.
Continue the descent down to the Mweka, have a lunch and receive your summit certificates.
3 hours of hiking, transfer to Arusha.
Si tout se passe bien, des nouvelles au retour, le Vendredi voire le Samedi !!
